Spring is in the air

Spring Crocus

The migrating birds are landing all around, my garden is full of spring crocus and my eyes are itching from the pollen. We still have plenty of snow, but it's melting fast now.

I don't like this time of the year. The ground is too wet to walk on and the roads are full with trash and filth that have built up during the winter. The trees are still barren and very few flowers bloom this early. Then it's the weather that never seem to make its mind up. Sun, rain and snow, then it's windy or cold, or both.

Yesterday it was Walpurgis Night but I didn't bother to go out to look at the bonfires. I've seen it before and the weather was bad.
