Strange how a terrible day can also be such a beautiful day.

I was sitting in the ambulance watching the landscape fly by and I was taken by the intense beauty of the world as we sped on. Picture perfect winter fields, groves with trees with frosted branches shimmering in the sun and I realized that it was the first time since mid November that I've seen the sun. Strange how a terrible day can also be such a beautiful day.
